Respondol ATF 1x3
Alcohol Resistant Fluorine Free (AR-FF) Foam Concentrate
Respondol ATF 1x3 is a superior quality synthetic fluorine free (FF) foam concentrate, designed for extinguishing and securing all types of flammable liquid fires and Class A incidents.
Respondol ATF 1x3 has been designed specifically for emergency responders who are faced with high-hazard risks at e.g. oil, gas and chemical manufacturing facilities.
Respondol ATF 1x3 is a patented combination of surfactants and other ingredients to produce a vapour sealing blanket of foam that rapidly spreads over the surface of the fuel to provide rapid control and extinguishment.
- Specifically designed for emergency responders faced with a variety of high-hazard risks in multiple industrial situations
- UL 162 listed for Type II and Type III applications
- LASTFIRE certified as Good with all nozzle types, both with fresh and salt water
- Formulated without Siloxanes
- Can be used in combination with dry chemical for twin-agent application
- Provides a vapour-sealing blanket of foam that rapidly spreads over the fuel surface to provide rapid control and extinguishment
- For use at 1% on hydrocarbons and 3% on polar solvents and is readily proportioned using conventional foam proportioning equipment -portable and fixed
- Suitable for use with fresh and salt water
- 100% biodegradable
Performance Approvals
- UL 162 Type II and Type III
- ULC162 Type II and Type III
- Passed Lastfire with excellent results in fresh and sea water.
Applications
Respondol ATF 1x3 is used in high risk situations where hydrocarbons (such as oils, gasoline, diesel fuel, and aviation kerosene) and/or polar solvents (such as alcohols, ketones, esters, and ethers) are stored, processed, or transported.
Respondol ATF 1x3 provides a vapour suppressing foam blanket on unignited hydrocarbon spills.
Can also be used as a wetting agent in combating fires in Class A materials such as wood, paper, and tyres.
Equipment
Respondol ATF 1x3 is intended for use at 1% (1 part concentrate to 99 parts of water) on hydrocarbons and polar solvents.
It is readily proportioned using conventional foam proportioning equipment such as portable and fixed (in-line) foam venturi proportioned, variable flow balanced pressure pump or bladder tank proportioners.
Respondol ATF foam solution will develop an effective foam blanket when discharged through semi aspirating or conventional low expansion discharge devices (mobile and fixed) as well as through medium expansion devices.
